About Chris Ethridge
This American country musician was widely known for his collaborations with American singer Gram Parsons. He was also a bass guitarist with the International Submarine Band (ISB) and The Flying Burrito Brothers. He worked with other musicians such as Leon Russell, Graham Nash, Linda Rondsat, and Jackson Browne.
Career
Ethridge collaborated with Joel Scott Hill before joining Gram Parsons in ISB in 1971. He and Parsons worked together after the decline of ISB and formed the group Burrito Brothers. He featured on the bass guitar and piano for the 1969 album "The Gilded Palace of Sin". He was also involved on other albums, including “Eye of a Hurricane” and “From Another Time”.
Chris Ethridge helped in co-writing the single “She”, which featured on Parson's 1973 self-titled album "GP".
Death
He suffered complications from pancreatic cancer and died on April 23, 2012 at age 65.
