About Chris Leben
Not considered to be a bright student, Chris Leben was enlisted into the U.S. Army after his high school education. He left the service after releasing that he was not going to join the wrestling team as he was promised by the one who recruited him.
After some time, he joined the Team Quest gym where he started his MMA career as an amateur fighter. During that stage, he won many competitions including Sportfight and the Gladiator Challenge.
He began his professional career in 2005 when he made his UFC debut at The Ultimate Fighter 1. During his career under the profession, he participated in 22 fights at the Middleweight division, where he recorded 12 wins and ten losses.
In 2014, he announced that he would retire from the sport, but returned four years later after he was cleared by the medical team. He made his return into the sport at the 2019 Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
Legal issues
He was arrested in 2010 after it was suspected that he was driving his pickup truck under the control of drugs or alcohol. Five years later, he was arrested for allegedly entering into the apartment of his former wife unlawfully. He was given a 120 days jail sentence later that year.
Family
He was raised by his mother alongside a sister and a brother. In 2017, he had his first son with Brittany called Liam.
Education
He attended Benson Polytechnic High School where he was a member of their wrestling team.
