Personal Life
At birth, he was named Christopher John Tarrant by Joan Tarrant and Basil Tarrant. He studied at King’s School where he actively participated in sports like cricket and hockey. He continued his education at University of Birmingham. He later got married to Sheila Roberton in 1976 but after two children and six years together, they went their separate ways. In 1991, he made Ingrid Dupre-Walsh his wife and had two children with her. In 2007, the marriage fell apart. The following year, he started a relationship with Jane Bird.
Career
He has hosted and worked on a lot of television and radio shows. He was the host of the remake of the quiz show on British television called “Pop Quiz” after Mike Read. “Tarrant on Tv” was also hosted by him for over fifteen years. He has been on the show “Chris Tarrant: Extreme Railways” which started in 2012. Prior to that, he was the host of “UK edition of Man O Man”.
