About Claude François
Claude François came into the limelight in 1962 when he released his song titled "Belle Belle Belle" which was a cover of Everly Brothers’ "Teen Teen Teen". Throughout his over 15 years in the music industry, he recorded lots of hit songs including "Le Téléphone Pleure".
As a Songwriter
The French singer was also known for his writing abilities. He was one of the writers of Jacques Revaux’s "Comme d'habitude" which was made popular by American singer Frank Sinatra with his version entitled "My Way".
He also contributed to the lyrics of "Parce que je t'aime mon enfant" which was translated into English by Bill Martin and Phil Coulter in their song "My Boy".
Family
He was raised by his parents Lucia Mazzeï and Aimé François alongside a sister called Josette. His 1960 marriage to singer Janet Woollacott lasted for seven years.

Death
François was electrocuted after he attempted to fix one of the lights in his apartment in Paris.
