Claus von Stauffenberg was a prominent member of the group who plotted to dethrone the Nazi Party and assassinate Adolf Hitler in an operation dubbed, Operation Valkyrie. However, their attempts were to no avail. He was ultimately executed by firing squad after participating in the failed German Resistance movement alongside his colleagues.
