About Collin Klein
During his days in college, Collin Klein was ranked among the top 20 players with the most rushing touchdowns in the NCAA Division I FBS. Mostly used at the quarterback position, the American football star recorded most of his successes at the college level as a key member of the Kansas State Wildcats.
He had a tryout with the Houston Texans in 2013 but wasn’t offered a contract after the exercise. The following year, he moved to the Canadian Football League as a signee of the Montreal Alouettes.
Coaching career
Klein shifted his attention to coaching after drawing the curtains down on his playing career. Between 2014 and 2015, he worked with his former team, the Kansas State Wildcats, as one of their technical men.
In 2016, he joined the University of Northern Iowa where he worked as their quarterback coach. He rejoined the Wildcats later that year and, in 2022, he was appointed as the Offensive Coordinator.
Family
His parents are Kelly and Doug Klein. He has a brother named Kyle.
Education
After studying at Loveland High School, he moved to Kansas State University.
Achievements
He won the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, and the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award in 2012.
