Corey Dillon is arguably one of the most bruising running backs in National Football League history.
Background
The former running back for the Cincinnati Bengals was raised by a single-mom in Seattle, Washington. He later reported that he played football frequently with his brothers on concrete, bruising himself regularly as a result. This definitely influenced the reckless-abandon with which he often ploughs through opposing team players.
Football Career
The running back earned All-American and All-Metro running back honors in high school, i.e. Franklin High School.
Dillon played with the Cincinnati Bengals [1997 -2004] and the New England Patriots [2004 – 2007] in his 10-season-long professional career.
The running back retired with over 11,240 rushing yards and 82 touchdowns, both of which were among the highest numbers in league history.
In 2007, the celebrated running back retired 20th in NFL rushing yards with 11,000 rushing yards.
Major Achievements and Honors
Though Corey’s professional career has not been as outstanding as some, the pro-footballer has made his mark by setting several franchise records and receiving three Pro Bowl selections.
With the New England Patriots, he won the 2004 Super Bowl title.
