The Silver Bullet Band's keyboardist Craig Frost is most recognized, particularly, for his work as Grand Funk Railroad's keyboardist in the 1970s. It's been said that Grand Funk's biggest hits came after he joined the group in 1973.

The #1 hit songs by Grand Funk Railroad, "We're an American Band," and "The Loco-Motion," were written by him after he joined the band in 1973. Along with drummer Don Brewer, he made a substantial writing contribution to Grand Funk.
He and other bandmates formed the band Flint. With one self-titled record to their credit, the band split up four years later. Frost joined Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band in 1980.
Songs like "The Aftermath," and "Tight Rope" were co-written by him.
He performed with Bob Seger during his Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2004.
