About Craig James
Best known as the American Pro Bowl 1985 champion, Jesse Craig James had a playing career that spanned from 1983 to 1988. In that time, he played for the Washington Federals and the New England Patriots. After he hung up his boots, he became a commentator, hosting a number of shows on the ABC and ESPN television networks.
Playing Career
The sportsman enrolled and graduated from Stratford High School. He later graduated from Southern Methodist University, where he played for the Washington Federals from 1983 to 1984 and later played for New England Patriots from 1984 to 1988.
James retired from professional football in 1989 and became a radio analyst for SMU College. He later became the sports anchor for KDFW-TV and appeared on ESPN as a studio analyst.
The former running back later served as a reporter during the NCAA men's basketball championship as well as the 1998 Winter Olympics held in Nagano, Japan. He also worked with Mike Patrick and sideline reporter Heather Cox on ESPN and ABC.

The sportscaster married Marilyn James in 1983.
