The Canadian–born former ice hockey player, was the first in NHL history to win 30 games for 5 teams in one season. By the time of his retirement in 2009, he was the goaltender with the most wins in NHL history.
Early Life
Joseph was born to teenagers, Curtis Nickle and Wendy Munro in 1967, but was raised by foster parents, Jeanne and Joseph. He grew up among 4 step siblings. The former player attended Huron Heights Secondary School.
Personal Life
Before he tied the knot with model Stephanie, in 2012, he was formerly married to Nancy. Joseph fathered 7 children which included his nephew.
Career
The 3–time NHL All–Star has played for many teams including the Edmonton Oilers and the Toronto Maple Leafs. He retired as a professional player in 2009 and offered his services as a coach.
Awards
He received the 1999-2000 King Clancy Memorial Trophy for his outstanding leadership and philanthropy. He, with his Canadian team, won an Olympic gold medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, United States.
Trivia
Joseph’s nickname, “Cujo” and his snarling dog mask were both inspired by Stephen King’s novel “Cujo.”
