About Czesław Niemen
The polish singer was known for his works in music genres such as rock & roll, progressive rock, avant-garde jazz and electronic music. Also, apart from launching polish songs, he released a number of English albums, including “Strange Is This World”, “Ode to Venus” and “Mourner’s Rhapsody”.
Personal life
The singer came from a community of Berlarusians and Poles.

Seven years after he began his career in 1960, he released his debut studio album “Dzwiny jest ten swiat”. The album was released under Polskie Nagrania Muza (LP) record label and it contained almost 13 tracks. It became successful to the extent that, it landed at number 31 on the Polish Olis album chart and also received a gold certification.
His career did not end after he launched his first album, that is, he went ahead to release other hit albums such as “Enigmatic”, “Niemen Aerolit”, “Przeprowadzka” and “Terra Deflorata”.
Collaboration
During his days on earth, he worked with the following music groups: Niebiesko-Czarni, Alibabki and Grupa Nieman.
Death
He passed away in 2004 due to cancer.
After his death, a lot of things have been done in order to keep his legacy. Some of these things included the films “Sukces” and “Niemen” that contain his biography. Also, the National Bank of Poland issued three coins in 2009 in his honor.
Trivia
During the 1972 Summer Olympic Games in Munich, Germany, Niemen was one of the performers at the opening show of the game.
