Club Career
Damien Albert René Perquis, the defender kicked off his soccer journey from the Troyes AC youth system. Praised for his defensive tactics, he played with the club in Ligue 2. In 2005, he moved to Saint-Étienne where he played 23 times in his two-year stay. After a year loan spell at Sochaux, he signed for the Montbéliard-based club and would make over 120 appearances for the club.
He later signed a 3-year deal with Real Betis in 2012. Toronto FC welcomed him in January, 2015, and after a year and half, he joined English side Nottingham Forest. He continued on to Gazélec Ajaccio in 2017 and remained with the club for 2 years, making over 40 appearances for the French football club.
International Career
He made his international debut with the Polish national team in September, 2011. His prowess earned him a place in the final squad for the UEFA Euro 2012. He was capped 14 times for his national side.

Born in Troyes, France, he came from Polish ancestry. He got married and fathered 2 children.
Trivia
After his retirement from playing football, he ventured into coaching. In 2020, he was appointed assistant coach of the French football club Gazélec Ajaccio.
