Daniel Boone was an American explorer and frontiersman.
His Highlights/Legacy
He was a militia officer during the Revolutionary War and he became famous for his exploration of what is now called Kentucky. In Kentucky, he founded the village of Boonesborough, one of the first American settlements west of the Appalachians.
He is one of the most popular folk heroes of all time in America.
His Personal Life
He was married to Rebecca Bryan and they had 10 children. His grandson became the first white man born in Kentucky! He died of natural causes at the age of 85.
