He is the son of Frank Zanuck and Sarah Louise. His father was the owner of Wahoo hotel. Before his birth, his brother Donald was born but passed away through an accident.
Career
He joined the army and was part of them during the First World War even though he was just nineteen. In 1925, he began producing shows starting with “Tora! Tora! Tora!”. Other shows he worked on were “The Barbarian and the Geisha”, “The Snows of Kilimanjaro”, “Leave Her to Heaven”, “The Return of Frank James” and “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes”.
Achievements
He received different academy awards for his work in television shows including Outstanding Motion picture for “How Green Was My Valley” in 1941, best motion picture for “Gentleman’s Agreement” in 1947 and “All About Eve” in 1950
Death
He was known to have been smoking for a long time and developed pneumonia which claimed his life in 1979.
