David Banner is an American rapper and music producer who began his journey in the music industry as a member of Crooked Lettaz - a rap duo that was active from 1996 to 2000. He released his debut studio album Them Firewater Boyz, Vol. 1 independently in 2000. He followed this up with several other albums such as Mississippi: The Album, Certified and Sex, Drugs & Video Games. Besides music, he is also an activist and actor. His acting career has seen him appear in a number of films such as This Christmas, Days of Wrath and The Butler.
