David Byrne is an iconic Scottish American singer-songwriter and guitarist best known for being the lead singer of the American rock band Talking Heads who pioneered new wave music and released several hits such as Once in a Lifetime and Psycho Killer. Besides his work with Talking Heads, he also gained prominence as a solo artist.
He married costume designer and actress Adelle Lutz in 1987. The marriage produced a child before ending officially in 2004.
Throughout his career, he has earned a number of prestigious awards, including Grammy and Golden Globe awards. In 2002, he received one of the honors of his lifetime with an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of Talking Heads.
