About David Hume
David Hume was a Scottish philosopher, historian, economist, and essayist.
When it comes to arguably subjective field of philosophy, David Hume took it in a more scientific, empirical direction. He his known for both his skepticism and naturalism, as well. His most famous book, A Treatise of Human Nature examined the nature of man. Hume observed that people have passions, and their actions are influenced by them, which is a concept many rationalists had overlooked before his time. He believed that most people did not use logic, though they only know of things they have experienced.
