Personal life
Nail was born and raised in Kennett Missouri. He attended Arkansas State University.
He began a marital relationship with Catherine Werne in 2009 and a few years after their marriage, they were blessed with twins. The couple gave birth to their third child in 2020.

Beginning his career professionally in 2007, Nail signed a contract deal with Mercury Records and released the “David Nail” album. His single “Memphis”, which was included in the album, peaked at number 52 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks.
He released his first album “I’m About to Come Alive” in 2009. The album included singles such as “Red Light” and “Turning Home”. The album was ranked as the 19th in the U.S. Top Country Albums.
Nail’s other hit albums are “I’m a Fire” and “Fighter”.
