About David Seidler
Seidler’s first major professional work was writing the screenplay for the 1988 American comedy-drama film “Tucker: The Man and His Dream”. The film was directed by Francis Ford Coppola and starred Jeff Bridges, Martin Landau, and Joan Allen. Later that year, Seidler wrote the script for “Onassis: The Richest Man in the World”, a 1988 biographical film directed by Warris Hussein.
He worked with the Feather & Seidler writing team with New Zealand-born screenwriter Jacqueline Feather for a few years, collaborating on feature films such as ‘The King and I” (1999), “Quest for Camelot” (1998) and “Goldrush: A Real Life Alaskan Adventure” (1998).
The screenwriter went on to work on the historical drama film “The King’s Speech”, directed by filmmaker Tom Hooper in 2010. The film stars Colin Firth as King George VI and Helena Bonham Carter as Queen Elizabeth.

He studied at Cornell University where he obtained an A.B in English.
