Personal Life
June Deniece Chandler’s at a young age was to become an anesthetist and nurse. She schooled in Morgan State University. She struggled with her education and ended up dropping out of school. In 1971, she became the wife of Kendrick Williams but the marriage lasted for about four years. She then moved on to Christipher Joy which also ended in 1982. After the divorced, she married Brad Westering.
Career
She started singing in a club whiles she was in college and later started working for Stevie Wonder as a backup vocalist. In 1975, she stopped working with Stevie Wonder and was signed on by Columbia Records. She went on to release a few albums. Some of the tracks she released include “The Man Who Sold The World”, “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing”, “Baby, Baby, My Love’s All For You”, “Too Much, Too Little, Too Late” and “Let’s Hear It For The Boy”.
Achievement
She has received about ten Grammy nominations and won four Grammy awards.
