Early Life
He started his coaching journey as a graduate assistant at Georgia in 1996. Before that, he played collegiate football at Virginia.
Career Highlights
Before he moved to Alabama, Dooley dabbled in assistant coaching roles with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants. He spent 2 seasons as an offensive coordinator and a quarterback coach at Missouri. Following the exit of Coach Lane Kiffin, Dooley was employed by Tennessee as head coach from 2010 to 2012. He remained until the end of three seasons. Prior to this, he had coached Louisiana Tech for 2 seasons.
