Personal Life
When her parents, James Ginsburg and Lisa Ginsburg had her, they gave her the name Dinah Nadyejda Ginsburg. Her parents were professional photographers of repute. They were known to be photographers of the royal family. She got her education from Sherrards School and continued at Italia Conti Stage School. She started her career when she was just eleven years old and got a role in “Where the Rainbow Ends”.
In 1942, she became the wife of Jimmy Hanley but they ended it ten years later after they had children. In 1954, John Davis married her and they got divorced after eleven years. In 1986, she was with John Merivale but he passed away in 1990, then she married Aubrey Ison who also passed away in 2007. She herself passed on in 2012 of undisclosed causes.
Career
In 1947, she was cast in “The Hills of Donegal” as Eileen Hannay then in 1948, she played the role of Shirley Yorke in ``The Story of Shirley Yorke”. In 1951, she was cast in “Where No Vultures Fly” as Mary Payton then played Grace Marston in “The Story of Gilbert and Sullivan”. Other shows she has been in include “Calling Paul Temple” and “Appointment in London”.
