He is a Latvian-American disk jockey who has made a name for himself with his incredible control of music. He is also a producer.
Personal Life
Loer Dimant is the name that was given to him when he was born. His father was Grisha Dimant who was in a rock band as a guitarist. He was introduced to music by his father. During a talent show in school, he was exposed to hip hop which he loved and wanted more of. He started training to be a beatboxer before becoming a DJ.
Career
His first DJing gig came when Everlast, the rapper, met him and was impressed with his work. He got him to join him and his team including Ice T on tour. He was in school at the time and because he did not want to lose the opportunity, he dropped out of school to embark on the tour. He later founded “House of Pain” with Everlast. He went on to release more songs. His tracks have received three Grammy nominations but won none.
Trivia
To enable them to have private conversations without him understanding, Loer’s parents refused to teach him Latvian and instead spoke Russian to him.
