She is a retired American gymnast and author, who is noted to have been a prominent member of the successful United States gold-medal-winning gymnasts, the "Magnificent Seven" who made massive impacts at the Summer Olympics of 1996.
Dominique Moceanu started off her gymnastics career from a tender age. She relocated to Texas with her family at the age of 10 where she trained under renowned Romanian coaches, Bela and Marta Kayolyi. Due to her successful early start, in 1992, she bagged her first United States National Team berth.
Family Life
She was born to father, Dumitru Moceanu and mother, Camelia Moceanu who were both gymnasts. Her siblings include; Cristina and American Acrobat and aerialist, Jennifer Bricker. She got married to retired American gymnast, Michael Canales. Her children are Carmen and Vincent Canales.

She received a Gold medal at the 1998 Goodwill Games.
She picked up a Gold medal at the 1996 Olympic Games.
Moceanu was awarded Silver and Bronze medals at the 1995 World Championships.
