About Durward Kirby
Durward Kirby was a well-known TV personality and announcer in the United States. He was most known for co-hosting “Candid Camera” alongside Allen Funt.
He was also the host of “The Garry Moore Show” in the 1950s. Apart from that, he worked as a radio announcer for WLW and for a number of radio stations in Chicago and Indianapolis.
Before WWII, he co-hosted “Club Matinee” with Garry Moore on the NBC Blue radio channel in Chicago before switching to television as an announcer in 1949.
