About Dutch Schultz
Dutch Schultz grew up in a troubled family which led him to abandon his education at an early stage to take up small works. He went on to work in a local bar where he developed some criminal behaviors including robbery.
He gained notoriety for many organized crime activities such as the Italian lottery, and bootlegging. He gathered lots of riches through his operations until he was arrested and charged with tax evasion. He was said to be a co-founder of the Noe-Schultz Gang.

Death
He died in 1935 as a result of peritonitis. Prior to his death, he was engaged in a shooting battle that left him with serious injuries. He underwent surgery before he came back to life.
Trivia
His original name was Arthur Simon Flegenheimer.
He led an unsuccessful assassination attempt against Thomas Dewey, a United States Attorney.
