Career Highlight
During his National Hockey League, he played for two teams: the New York Rangers and the Detroit Red Wings.
He made his first play with the New York Rangers in 1965 and went on to appear in nine seasons. He enjoyed a good start but it got to a time when his performances began to deteriorate. During his nine seasons with the team, he won the Vezina Trophy and also steered the team to the Stanley Cup finals in 1972.
Giocomins's career as a hockey player ended with the Detroit Red Wings in 1978 and he achieved the following statistics: 289-208-97 and a 2.82 GAA.
Accomplishments
He launched himself to the NHL All-Star Team in 1967 and 1971.
In 1987, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
