American singer-songwriter and guitarist Edie Brickell rose to fame as a member of the alternative rock jam band, Edie Brickell & New Bohemians. She joined the band in 1985 following an invitation and became its lead singer.
She and the members became household names after they released their debut album, “Shooting Rubberbands at the Stars”. She has pursued a solo career as well, having released the albums “Volcano” and “Picture Perfect Morning”.

Her parents’ names are Paul Edward Brickell and Larry Jean Linden. She grew up in Dallas, Texas alongside an elder sister named Laura Strain. Singer Paul Simon has been her husband since 1992. They are parents to three children.
