About Elizabeth Beisel
The American retired Olympic swimmer contested in the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games. She also served as an Olympic team captain for the U.S. national team.
Early Life & Education
A 2010 product of North Kingstown High School, she was born in Saunderstown, Rhode Island. By age, she had distinguished herself as part of the America's national swim team.
College Career
During her tenure at the University of Florida, she was named the winner of 2 NCAA titles and 14 SEC individual titles.
International Career
She appeared with every U.S. national team between 2006 and 2017 becoming the only female swimmer to compete with the team for 12 years in a row.
Media & Coaching
After her retirement in 2017, she worked with NBC and ESPN as a media contributor and worked on various D1 Swimming and Diving Championships. In late 2020, she got a coaching job at SPIRE Institute and Academy.
Accolade
She is a three-time Pan Pacific Championships gold medalist.
Trivia
In September 2021, she swam to Block Island on Rhode Island as her way of raising funds in aid of cancer research. She named her swim, “Block Cancer.”
