About Ettore Boiardi
Ettore was an Italian-American Chef who gained a great reputation for his culinary skills and production of food products under the brand of Chef Boyardee.
Personal Life
He was born to Maria Maffi Boiardi and Giuseppe Boiardi. He was interested in food at a young age and by the time he was eleven years old, he had started learning about cooking as an apprentice for the restaurant named “La Croce Bianca”. He mainly watched what was done because he was given minor jobs like washing the dishes or taking out the trash. When he started travelling, he got the chance to learn more. He later got married to Helen J. Boiardi and had a son with her but in 1995, she passed on.
Career
He joined his brother, Paolo who worked at Plaza Hotel. He started working there and eventually got to the position of head chef. At a point he supervised the cooking of dishes for soldiers who had returned from war at the white house. Not long after, he started his restaurant “Il Gardino d'Italia '' also known as “The Garden of Italy ''. His fame grew from there.
Death
In 1985, he died at home due to natural causes.
Trivia
Even after his death, his brand still remains and it’s patronized by individuals and food companies.
