American pianist and composer Euday Louis Bowman is popularly known for his expertise in both ragtime and blues genres. Bowman is noted for his "Twelfth Street Rag" composition in 1914.
Career
The Fort Worth, Texas-born composer began his life in music at a young age, playing with the well-known ragtime pianist, Brun Campbell. Bowman first went on his tours as a pianist and composed the "Twelfth Street Rag" to which he later sold its copyrights. He later composed other tunes such as "Old Glory on Its Way", " Tipperary Blues", "White Lily Dreams" and "Colorado Blues".
