Missionary Activities
After studying theology from the University of Graz, Konscak left his hometown of Cadiz to Spain and North America. While in California, he served as head of mission and saw to the establishment of several missions and developmental projects. Between 1746 and 1753, Konscak embarked on three expeditions along the Gulf of California. With the information he gathered, he was able to create an accurate map of California.
