About Ferruccio Lamborghini
Ferruccio Lamborghini played a huge part in the economic development of Italy after the Second World War. In 1948, he set up a tractor manufacturing company called Lamborghini Trattori, which produced most of the agricultural equipment used during that period. He went on to create another factory in 1959 called Lamborghini Bruciatori, which manufactured air conditioning parts.
Four years later, he founded the Automobili Lamborghini, widely known for its high-class sports cars. His initial aim for setting up the firm was to refine touring cars to match that of established brands like Ferrari. After a number of challenges, the company was sold to Chrysler Corporation, who also sold it to other investors before it was finally purchased by the Volkswagen Group in 1998.
Family
His parents, Evelina and Antonio Lamborghini were both viticulturists. He had a child with his first wife Clelia Monti named Tonino Lamborghini. His second child, Patrizia Lamborghini, was a product of his marriage to Maria Theresa Cane, his third wife. Before that, he was married to a woman called Anna Borgatti.

He studied at the Istituto Fratelli Taddia.
Death
He died from heart-related issues in 1993.
