About Florence Green
Until her death in 2014, Florence Green was known to be the last survivor of the infamous First World War. She served in the war as a component of the Women's Royal Air Force which she joined in 1918. She was stationed at RAF Marham where she worked as a steward in the officers' mess.

She was born Florence Beatrice Green Patterson to Sarah Neal and Frederick Patterson. Her 55 years marriage to Walter Green produced three kids named June Evetts, Bob and May.
Trivia
She officially became a supercentenarian in 2011 after her age was verified by the Gerontology Research Group.
Before her death, she was one of the ten supercentenarians and 6th oldest person in the UK.
In 2010, she became the oldest female WWI veteran alive.
