Franco Zeffirelli, was both a prolific and quality operas, films, and television director. He is widely recognized for directing numerous films, including the romantic tragedy film “Romeo and Juliet” (1968), which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Director.
His cinematic rendition of Shakespeare's “The Taming of the Shrew”, starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton is still the most well-known. “Jesus of Nazareth” (1977), his miniseries, received national and international acclaim and is now widely broadcast across the world during Christmas and Easter.
