Career
Miller worked at Marvel Comics as a regular fill-in and cover illustrator. Among his works was the drawing of Peter Parker in The Spectacular Spider-Man #27–28 (Feb.–March 1979), a comic book and magazine series published by Marvel comics which starred Spider-Man. He also worked on the “Daredevil’s” regular title; a fictional character that appeared in American comic books which had performed poorly previously.
Daredevil #158 (May 1979) became his first work on that title and the last of a continuing story scripted by Roger McKenzie and illustrated by Klaus Janson. With this role he gained prominence as one of Marvel’s growing stars. He became the writer of the series with the publication of #168 (Jan. 1981) which saw sales rising quickly.
The illustrator worked with the American novelist on “Wolverine #1–4”, a Marvel comic book series which was published from September to December 1982. The series was illustrated by comic book artist Klaus Johnson.
