He kicked off his musical career playing as a second lead guitarist for the rock band, Mariah. In 1979, the band released their debut album, “Survivor” through Scotti Bros. He co-wrote the hit singles, “Eye of the Tiger” and “Burning Heart.” Their 1984 5th studio album, “Vital Signs,” reached multi-platinum status and its single, “Can’t Hold Back,” was listed among the top ten pop charts.
