The center fielder Fredric Michael Lynn is an American former baseball player whose name is engraved in history by being inducted into the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame in 2002 and the College Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007.
Early Life and Education
The multiple award-winning baseball player was born to Marie Lynn and Fred Lynn. Lynn started playing baseball at a young age and quickly became a prodigy by the time he graduated from El Monte High School. He later went on to attend the University of Southern California, where he helped the USC Trojans baseball team win the College World Series in 1971, 1972, and 1973.
Professional Career
Lynn made his professional debut with the Boston Red Sox in 1974 and played with the team till 1980. He won the AL MVP and AL Rookie of the Year in 1975 and later signed on the California Angels' banner from 1981 to 1984. Lynn later played with other popular teams such as the Baltimore Orioles and the Detroit Tigers before finally joining the San Diego Padres in 1990 and retiring that same year.
Personal Life
The baseball player tied the knot with Natalia Selby in 1986; they have 2 children as of 2021.

4-time Gold Glove Award in 1975 and 1978 to 1980
AL batting champion in 1979.
