About Fred West
Fred West was an English serial killer notorious for torturing, raping and murdering at least 12 young women between 1967 and 1987. He collaborated with his second wife Rosemary West in the torture and murder of at least 10 of his victims. He and Rosemary were arrested and charged for their crimes in 1994. However, he killed himself in jail in 1995 before the murder trial was to begin.
Family Life
He was the second of the six children born to Daisy Hill and Walter West. From 1962 to 1971, he was married to former prostitute Catherine Costello, who bore him a daughter. He married Rosemary West in 1972 and fathered five children with her.
Trivia
He claimed that his father introduced him to bestiality.
He was involved in a serious motorcycle accident at the age of 17. The accident left him unconscious for one week.
At the age of 19, he had his first run-in with the law after getting arrested for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.
