About Gabby Douglas
Gabby Douglas is an American gymnast who rose to national attention for being a member of the U.S. Women's Gymnastics team (the Fierce Five) at the 2012 Summer Olympics, where she made history by becoming the first American gymnast to win gold in the individual all-round and team all-round competitions during the same Olympics event. She was also a member of the U.S. team that won gold at the 2011 and 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
Family Life
She is the daughter of Timothy Douglas and Natalie Hawkins. She has three siblings.
Awards
In 2012, the Associated Press named her the Female Athlete of the Year, making her the fourth gymnast to receive the prestigious award. In 2013, she was given two BET Awards in recognition of her gymnastic accomplishments.
