About Gabrielle Reece
Gabrielle Reece’s love and performance in sports earned her a scholarship to Florida State University. It was during her college days that she sharpened her volleyball skills. She continued playing the game after leaving the institution which saw her participate in a number of volleyball tours.
Between 1993 and 1996, she was the WBVL skill leader. In 1995, she was voted the league’s Offensive Player of the Year. She also participated in a number of tournaments including the Olympic Challenge Series, and FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour.
Other projects
Aside from volleyball, Reece has also tried her hands on other projects. During the 1980s and 1990s, she worked as a model and covered a number of publications including Women's Sports & Fitness, Outside, and Shape.
She has also worked as an actress and appeared in some popular productions such as “8 Simple Rules” and “North Shore”.
Family
She lost her dad, Robert Eduardo Reece, at the age of 12. Her mum is simply referred to as Terry Glynn. She became the wife of American surfer Laird Hamilton in 1997. They gave birth to their second child in 2008.
Education
She had her education at Keswick Christian School. She read communication at Florida State University.

She has appeared in quite a number of television shows including “The Tyra Banks Show” and “America's Next Top Model”.
