About Gary Carter
Gary Carter forwent his college education to pursue a career in Major League Baseball. He was selected into the league in 1972 by the Montreal Expos. Initially used at the shortstop position, the American baseball star was later converted into a catcher and went on to become one of the best in that position.
He featured in the league for close to two decades in which he played for teams like the New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, and the San Francisco Giants. He helped the former to win the World Series in 1986.

He spent his early years with his parents Inge and Jim Carter. He was married to a lady called Sandy and together they raised three children named DJ, Christy, and Kimmy.
Education
Carter participated in a number of sports during his days at Sunny Hills High School.
Achievements
He was selected into eleven All-Star teams and won three Gold Glove Awards. He’s a member of the New York Mets Hall of Fame, and the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
