Career
Having done a variety of menial jobs, Oldman won a scholarship to study at the Rose Bruford College in London and graduated with a BA in Acting in 1979. He worked as a stage and theater actor appearing in many plays before making his film debut in 1982 in the film ‘Remembrance’.
Personal life
Outside of acting, Oldman keeps his personal life very private. In 1987, he married actress Lesley Manville. Three months after their son Alfie was born, the couple divorced. He went on to marry American actress Uma Thurman in 1990, and after their divorce, he married Donya Fiorentino in 1997. The marriage ended in 2001 and produced two sons. In December 2008, Oldman got married for the fourth time to English singer and actress Alexandra Edenborough. The marriage ended in a divorce in 2015.
