About George Best
George Best, also known as "El Beatle", was an iconic Northern Irish footballer who played for numerous football clubs around the world during his massively successful career, most notably Manchester United, which he played for from 1963 to 1974. He played for the Northern Ireland national football team from 1964 to 1977. He was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2002.
Personal Life
His first marriage was to Angela Best in 1978. The marriage produced a son named Calum Best and ended in divorce in 1986. His second marriage was to Alex Pursey in 1995. The marriage was childless and ended in 2004.

He is regarded as one of the greatest dribblers in the history of football.
Legendary footballer, Pele, once called him the "greatest player in the world". According to him, Pele's words were the greatest salute to his life.
At the height of his fame, he developed an addiction to alcohol, which contributed to his death in 2005.
