About George Davis
Considered a baseball player who ranked among the best, George Davis was well-known for his flexibility. He played third base and center field for several seasons.
With the Cleveland Spiders, he made his professional debut in 1890. After that, he continued playing for other clubs, including the New York Giants and Chicago White Sox.
Following his great playing career, Davis spent several years as the manager of the baseball team at Amherst College and he also managed the New York Giants.

He was the son of Abram and Sarah Davis.
