About George Lowther

Career
He wrote “The Adventures of Superman” in 1942. During those years, he worked with Mutual Radio Network. He also wrote “Dick Tracy” for radio and “Terry and the Pirates”. He is the writer, director and producer of many shows for “Armstrong Circle Theatre” and “The United States Steel Hour”.
In 1945, he became a part of DuMont Television Network as an Executive Producer and by 1963, he joined the Famous Writers School. He was chosen to become the Supervisor of Instructions at the school within three years.
He also worked on the programs “Morton Downey”, “Broadway Calling” and “Guy Lombardo” as writer, producer and director. He produced five programs, wrote about twenty shows and directed “A Christmas Carol” in 1943.
Death
In April 1975, he died at home in Connecticut in the United States.
