Personal Life
George Francis Musso was the name he was given at birth. He was born to a coal miner. He had education at Collinsville High School and because he was good with sports and played well, he was later given a free pass to James Millikin University. While there, he was an exceptional sportsman as he dabbled in baseball, football, track and basketball.
Career
Because he started his playing career in a small school, there was a lot of doubt regarding his ability to make it to the National Football League but he proved them wrong. In 1933, he started playing for the Chicago Bears and was a valuable asset to them so he stayed with the team for over a decade. He later went on retirement and decided to start a restaurant.
