George Smith is a highly-rated Australian former rugby player who played most of his career as a flanker. He became a huge figure in the sport after joining the ACT Brumbies in 1999. He has also played for a number of popular teams in different countries including Suntory Sungoliath, Queensland Reds, and Lyon OU.
Smith began his career at a very young age and played for the Manly Vikings at the junior level.
In 2000, he had the opportunity to make his debut appearance for the Australian national team. He went on to represent his country in a number of competitions including Rugby World Cup, and the Super Rugby tournament.

He’s the senior brother of Tyrone Smith, who is also a professional rugby star.

In 2010, his name was included in Wallaby’s “Team of the Decade”.
He was crowned “Australian Super 14 Player of the Year” from 2006 to 2009.
Smith also won the “Brumbies Players' Player of the Year” on nine different occasions.
In 2012, he received the Member of the Order of Australia medal.

At age 29, he became the youngest rugby player to play 100 Test games.
