Georges Braque was a renowned French artist who became very prominent during the 1900s and 1910s. He’s credited with championing the Cubism art movement. Some of his popular works are “Cinq bananes et deux poires”, “Violin and Palette” and “Nature morte (Still Life)”.
Education
He was trained at the famous École supérieure d'art et design Le Havre-Rouen. He later polished his skills at the Académie Humbert.
Trivia
In 2010, one of his art works was stolen from the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris.
His dad and grandfather were both decorators and painters.
Renowned Spanish painter, Pablo Picasso, was his colleague.
