About Giles Deacon
Giles Deacon is the founder of the Giles Deacon group, a British fashion designer, illustrator, and high-street fashion aficionado. A firm fashion favorite with a clientele that includes Angelina Jolie, he studied at Central St. Martins with Alexander McQueen. He debuted his first collection for GILES during London Fashion Week in 2004 and won "Best New Designer" at the British Fashion Awards.
Background
He initially intended to study marine biology, but failed in A-Level chemistry. He continued his education at Central St. Martins after finishing his studies. After receiving his degree in 1992, he worked with Fi Doran to create the label "Doran Deacon" and contributed artwork to “Dazed & Confused”.
Before establishing his brand in 2003, he worked for the fashion brands Bottega Veneta and Gucci.
